Bulgarian Association for Development of Psychomotricity in partnership with International Society for Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology and Medicine (ISPPM) and Center for Child Development “Psychomotricity for all children” organize public online lectures “Introduction to pre- and perinatal psychology” in 2 parts: “Pregnancy” and “The imprint of birth”.
We all have had experiences during our birth. Scientific pre- and perinatal psychology has proven that these experiences affect our entire lives. Each of the 4 phases of birth: opening, transition, delivery of the baby and birth of the placenta (afterbirth) and bonding (bonding) have their imprint.
The lecture will discuss the importance of childbirth: planned cesarean section, emergency cesarean section, vacuum extractor, forceps, induced birth, anesthesia, umbilical cord wrapped around the neck, long term birth, quick birth, Kristeller maneuver.
We will understand how children play the way they were born again and again until the stress (trauma) is released and they find new structures (ways) for their play and life.
We will reflect on the imprints and impacts of our own birth and make reference to working with children.
Working language: English with Bulgarian translation.
The event will take place on ZOOM. Link and password can be found here.
